Health Guarantee
South Lincoln Labradors knows that purchasing a puppy is a lifetime committment and we want you to be able to enjoy your puppy for that lifetime.  For this reason, we offer a two year health guarantee against fatal genetic defects.  If your puppy should die within the first two years of life from what is determined by a veterinarian to be a genetic defect, South Lincoln Labradors will replace your puppy at no charge with the next available litter. Should we not be able to replace your puppy within one year, we will refund your full purchase price.  In addition, South Lincoln Labradors will guarantee that your puppy be free from degenerative hip dysplasia  that can be common in Labradors with the following stipulation: It has been shown that Labradors who are spayed before full maturation around two years of age, are more likely to develop hip dysplasia due to the lack of hormones that they should be exposed to over that time to help them grow properly. If you spay or neuter your puppy before one year of age, this will void our warranty against hip dysplasia.  We highly recommend waiting until they are two years old and done growing.    If you find that your dog has developed hip dysplasia due to a genetic defect as determined by OFA, upon return of dog to us, you will be entitled to another puppy or a refund at our discretion.  At two years of age, your dog may be tested via painless xrays that are sent to the OFA foundation for determination of hip dysplasia. This guarantee does not cover hip issues arising from accidental injury.  Our health guarantee does not cover parasites/worms, as these are common in puppies.  Our puppies will be on a worming program starting at two weeks of age, and it will be expected that your veterinarian will continue this practice. Our adult dogs are mainainted on a flea and tick medications schedule appropriate for their age and whether or not the females are pregnant or lactating.  Our health guarantee also does not cover non-fatal defects that are not a result of our breeding program.
